William "Bill" Wilson Williams, 86, of US Hwy 17 North, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at ECU Chowan Hospital in Edenton, NC.  Bill was born on December 19, 1935, to the late Robert and Helen Williams in Bertie County.  He was predeceased by his two wives, Statia June Williams and the late Jacqueline Louise Frost Williams; daughter, Angela Elliott; siblings, Faye Grasher, Delmars Williams, David Earl Williams and Flossie Eure. Bill worked for the Federal government in the GSA and FAA organizations for a total of 29 years.  This was followed by employment as part of the Avoca Farm for another 28 years.  He was a faithful member of Merry Hill Baptist Church, a 4 year army veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge Charity # 5 where he was the Tyler.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Windsor.  Ron Williams will be officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday, July 16 ^th from 6-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home.

Survivors include his sons, William Wilson William, II (Regina) of Orange, VA, and James Thorpe (Lori) of Manassas, VA; daughters, Janet Ray of Elizabeth City, NC, Marjorie Thorpe (Andrew) of Woodbridge VA; brothers, Don Williams (Christine) of Durham, NC, Ron Williams (Jan) of Mebane, NC; sisters, Joyce Kessler (Rich) of Ocala, FL, and Geraldine Forehand of Windsor, NC. Bill was a grandfather to 13 and great grandfather to 11 with 2 more on the way.
