William Daton Stalls, 69 of E. Commerce St. died Monday August 15, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center.

William was born on September 29, 1952 in Martin County. He served twenty plus years as commissioner and Mayor for the Town of Oak City. William served 43 years with the Oak City Fire and EMS Dept. and served as EMT and treasurer. He worked 32 years with Diversified Energy as a service tech. William also served on the Bertie Martin Regional Jail Board.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Chris Minton officiating.
