William Asa Nicholson, age 62, of Wynn Lane passed away early Tuesday morning on January 20, 2026, at home with his wife by his side.

William was born in Martin County on October 27, 1963, to Shirley Wynne Nicholson and Milton Asa Nicholson. He married the love of his life Cindy Wynne on October 14, 1983, and was married for forty-two years. William worked at The Carrolton of Williamston in maintenance for years until he retired. He loved his fast cars, car shows, and spending time with his dog "Bo".

William was preceded in death by his mother, father and nephew Robert Brian Leggett. He is survived by his Wife, Cindy Wynne Nicholson of Williamston, one son, Billy Joe Nicholson of Williamston; and three sisters: Donna Nicholson (Simon) of Fort Plain New Yok, Susan Nicholson Harrison of Jamesville and Jodie Grey Swanner (Jeff) of Robersonville.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, chapel with pastor Gary Bateman officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Marty Nicholson, Berkley Nicholson, Trey Thompson, Johnny Chance, Daryal Shepherd, Joey Whitaker, and John Cherry. The family will receive friends Monday, January 26, 2026, at Walker Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.  Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
