William "Bill" Irving Hoggard 76 of Askewville-Mizelle Road, died March 2, 2019 at Vidant Bertie Hospital. He was born in Bertie County November 7, 1942 to the late James Otis and Lottie White Hoggard and was predeceased by a brother, Jim Hoggard and sisters, Joyce Shook and Jean Hoggard.  William was a farmer and member of Askewville Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Askewville Assembly of God.  Rev. R. O. Denton, Jr. will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Cobb Hoggard of the home; sons, Stacy Hoggard and wife Bonnie of Windsor, Michael Hoggard and wife Kelly of Williamston; sister, Lottie Ruth Jernigan of Windsor; grandchildren, Stacy Aaron Hoggard (Samantha), Tristen "Scoop" Hoggard, Matthew Garland Hoggard (Miranda), Christopher Michael Hoggard and Rachel Nicole Hoggard; great grandchild, Sawyer O'Neal Hoggard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Askewville Fire Department, 105 Askewville Road, Windsor, NC 27983.
