William Asa Harden, 70 of Bethany Church Road., died Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his home after a long illness.

William was born on August 9, 1953 in Bertie County to the late Asa Harden, Jr., and Marie Ella Long Harden.

He was a truck driver with Coulburn Lumber Company in Windsor. William was a member of Windsor Assembly of God Church. He loved fishing, singing, and spending time with his wife and family.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Jo Ann Davis Harden, include one son, William Asa Harden, Jr., (Connie) of Colerain; daughter, Mary Ellen Harden White (Joe) of Windsor; and four grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother; Hank Harden; and six sisters: Mary H. Gay, Kathy H. Hoggard, Nancy H. Overton, Judy H. Dunn, Patricia M. Jones, and Dot Marie.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, Colerain, NC.
