William Burton 'Burt' Dickerson III, 48 of Goose Rd. Robersonville, died Tuesday March 3, 2020 at Vidant Pitt Hospital. He was born in Martin County on August 4, 1971 to the late Gloria Gibson Parnell, and Eddie Burton Dickerson, He attended Martin County Schools and was a self-employed carpenter who loved his work, and most of all his daughter 'Ally'.

Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Alyssa 'Ally' Dickerson of Williamston; two sisters, Cindy Bembridge of Williamston, and Carol Hollis of Austin, TX; his stepfather Dennis Parnell of Robersonville, and stepmother Ola Dickerson of Jamesville; and his former wife, Lecia Casper of Williamston and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday March 6, 2020 in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, with Jonathan Knox officiating and Brian Raycher assisting. Burial will follow at the Gibson Family Cemetery. Adam Hollis, Jesse Brown, Connell Bembridge, Michael Clark, Stephen Hollis, and Vince Cooper will serve as pallbearers. Jesse Bullock will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening March 5, 2020 at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, and other times at home of his stepfather, Dennis Parnell on Goose Rd. Robersonville. Memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
