Vivian Hoggard Nicholson Peel, 90, of McCaskey Road, died Monday, May 18, 2020 at the Windsor House. She was born in Washington County, July 28, 1929 to the late John Henry and Gurley Bazemore Hoggard and was predeceased by her two husbands, Edward Nicholson and Mack Peel as well as four brothers, Forest, Alton, John and Tommy Hoggard. Vivian was a member of Community Christian Church and was a volunteer with Martin General Hospital and the American Red Cross. She was an employee at Belk's and was a homemaker.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Brickhouse officiating.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol N. Perry and husband, Bud of Merry Hill; sons, Kenneth Nicholson and wife, Judi of Williamston, Michael Nicholson and wife, Joan of Vanceboro; sister, Marion Roberts of OH; brother, Robert Lewis Hoggard of Windsor; grandchildren, Kelly Roebuck, Anita Stroud, Braxton, Mike, Scott and John Nicholson; great-grandchildren, Austin and Megan Roebuck, Hope Lee, Hunter Stroud, Sarah, Josie, Jake and Brett Nicholson; great-great-granddaughter, Teagan Ables.
