Troy Darrell Taylor, 52 of Mulberry Street, died Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home.

Troy was born on September 4, 1969, in Beaufort County to Jimmy D. and Rhoda Hoggard Taylor. Troy served in the NC National Guard. He had an associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Martin Community College and a bachelor's degree in Christian Counseling from the Baptist College of Florida. Troy was employed with Piggly Wiggly as a meat cutter. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dallas and Della Taylor, and Lloyd and Dorothy Early and father-in-law, Grady Winstead.

Survivors include his parents, Jimmy D. and Rhoda Hoggard Taylor of the home; wife, Emily Winstead Taylor of Washington; sister, Tracey Taylor Dysart (Fred) of Williamston; nephews, Jamie, Kely and Brennan Troy Dysart of Williamston; great nephew, Rockwel Hasty; great niece, Juliana Dysart; mother-in-law, Shirley Winstead, and numerous aunts, nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home with Allen Harmon and Stan Matthews officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour prior to the service and other times from the home of Jimmy and Rhoda Taylor, 104 Mulberry St. Williamston, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greater Piedmont Teen Challenge, 1912 Boulevard St, Greensboro, NC 27407.
