Isaac Timothy "Tim" Mizelle, Jr. 70, of Lewis Mizelle Lane, died Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home.  He was born November 10, 1949 in Hertford County to the late Vergie Miller and Issac Timothy Mizelle, Sr. Tim wore many hats.  He was a minister, graduating from Seminary School in Louisville, KY then he received his Doctorate from Georgia State University.  He served as Vice Principal at Statesboro High School while serving as Pastor in Cobbtown, GA.  He finished his career as Associate  Professor at Concorvia University in Chicago, IL.  After retirement, he returned home to Bertie County to become a host on the gospel radio WIAM in Williamston, NC as well at teaching a Sunday school class at Askewville Baptist Church.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.  Rev. R. O. Denton, Jr. will officiate.

Survivors include his sons; Joshua Timothy Mizelle and Jordan Murray Mizelle both of Statesboro, GA and a granddaughter, Harlyn Rae Mizelle.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
