Sylvia Jean Nelson Gammon, 75 of 2774 Everetts Rd., died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center.

Mrs. Gammon was born on October 24, 1945 in Martin County to the late Jim Henry and Gladys Virginia Gurganus Nelson. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Family Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Howard Gammon, sister Janie Vaughan and grandson B.J. Wynne and stepson Tim Gammon.

Survivors include; son, Bobby Gene Wynne (Teresa) of Bethel; daughter, Misty Wheeler (Jason) of Williamston; stepsons, Larry Gammon of Plymouth and David Gammon of Williamston; stepdaughter, Deborah Harper of Madison, GA; brother, Danny Nelson (Rose) of Falcon; sister, Ann Stewart (Homer) of Alabama; grandchildren, seven; great grandchildren, twelve.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Walker Chapel, with Rev. Danny Nelson and Rev. Chris Hardison officiating.
