Stevie Carroll Mizelle, 68, of Wakelon Road, passed away October 27, 2021 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville, NC.

Stevie was born November 24, 1952 to Doris Mizelle Mizelle who survives, and the late Ronald Mizelle. After high school he joined the United States Army where he served in Fort Sill, Oklahoma from August 9, 1972 until August 8, 1974.

He was an avid hunter. Stevie enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting, spending time at the river and watching Duke basketball.

Survivors include his mother, Doris Mizelle, of Elm Grove; his dedicated wife of 27 years, Dottie Mizelle of the home; son, Dave Mizelle of Elm Grove; stepsons, Danny Bullard of Nichols, SC and Chris Bullard of the home; stepdaughter, Athena Price and husband Jesse of Williamston; grandchildren, Rebecca and Drew Mizelle; sister, Rhonda Mizelle Riddick; niece and nephew, Suzanne and Ben Riddick all of Elm Grove; family friend, Bryanna Lawrence of Greenville and Fur-Buddy, Pork-Chop.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021 at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor from 6:00-7:30 PM, and other times at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Elm Grove Baptist Church, of Colerain with Pastor Preston Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
