Shirley Boone Griffin, 85 of Big Mill Rd. died Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the Carrollton of Williamston.

Shirley was born on August 23, 1937, in Duplin County, to the late Raymond and Suddie Norrish Boone. She was a registered nurse at Martin General Hospital for 39 years. Shirley was a member of Macedonia Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Noah Daniel "ND" Griffin, and son, Daniel Ray Griffin.

Survivors include; son, William "Bill" Griffin (Kim) of Williamston; daughter, Beth Ivey of Chocowinity; sisters, Peggy Fussell of Surf City and Leona Sholar of Surf City; grandchild, Kaitlyn Ivey, great grandchild Kaden Street.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Tice Cemetery with Rev. Greg Sexton and Rev. Dolan Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
