Shelton Edward Thomas, 44, of Cypress Drive, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born in Chowan County to Virginia "Ann Harris" Thomas and the late Gilbert R. Thomas.  Shelton was a member of United Outreach Ministry and was a truck driver for Jernigan Oil Company.  Shelton loved to fish, play arcade games and to travel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at United Outreach Ministry. Rev. J. R. Thomas will officiate. (Private) Burial will follow in the Lawrence Family Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Charissa Dawn Thomas of Edenton; mother, Ann Thomas; sister, Michelle Basden (Danny) of Bear Grass; nieces, Chelsea Pridgen (James) of Murfreesboro, Miranda Meldick of Windsor, Lacy Heflin of the home; one great nephew, Hunter Pridgen of Murfreesboro.

The family will receive friends Wednesday August 31st from 11:00 AM until Noon at the church. And other times at the home of his mother, Ann Thomas.
