Shelby Ray Castelloe, 83, of Wakelon Road, died Tuesday August 6, 2019 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie. He was born in Bertie County July 18, 1936 to the late Levy and Goldie Hoggard Castelloe and was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Smith Castelloe; sister, Lois C. Farless and a brother, Earl Castelloe. Shelby was a member of Ross Baptist Church. He retired from Lea Lumber Company and served his country in the National Guard.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday August 8, 2019 at 4:00 PM in the Ross Baptist Cemetery. Dr. Jeffery Russell will officiate.

Survivors include brothers, Lloyd Castelloe and wife Mary Ann and Levy Castelloe, Jr. and wife Evelyn all of Windsor and several nieces and nephews.
