Sheila Frances Hancock, age 72, of Williamston, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday August 20, 2025, with her loving, fun family by her side.
A celebration of Life for Ms. Sheila will be held on Saturday September 6, 2025, at Walker Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with pastor Merritt Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
Sheila was born May 26, 1953, to Erma Whitehurst Holliday and Milford Holliday in Greenville, NC. Sheila was married to the love of her life David Hancock for thirty-eight years. They spent most of their life together in Tennessee, she was a trucker's wife and loved every minute of it. Sheila was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her daughter's, nieces, nephews and her dog "Cookie". She loved her wrestling, racing and doll collection. And loved sharing her dolls with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sheila was predeceased by her brother, Milton Holliday.
She is survived by her two daughters: Gail Williams of Rocky Mount and Frankie Lynn Jackson of Robersonville; one brother, Robbie Holliday of Goldsboro; four sisters: Jeanie Bowen, Sophie Rogerson, Donna Roberson and Bonnie Kitchengs all of Williamston; and one, grandson David Lee Williams. Special great nieces and nephews Jordan, Kyleigh, Peyton, Kinzley, River, Layla, Dalton, Ellaina, Turner, Dru, Luke and Abby.
