Sara Jane Edmondson, 63, of West Maple Street, Windsor, died June 1, 2025, at ECU Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC.  Sara was born April 26, 1962, to the late Eugene Edmondson and Lettie Jane Pierce Mizelle of Windsor.  She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, watching soap operas, working at the beach and her dogs.  She had a great love for her Lord Jesus Christ and was a loving fiancé, mother, grandmother, and sister.

A funeral service will be held, Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Piney Wood Missionary Baptist Church, Ahoskie, NC.  Pastor Gregory Ellis will officiate with Piney Woods Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir and RT Johnson singing. The burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor, NC.

Survivors include her fiancé, Lloyd Smithwick of the home; mother, Lettie Jane Davis Mizelle; sons, Harry Lee (Dahlia Navedo-Lee) of Anchorage, AK, Brooks Franklin Lee of Martin County and Karl Lee (Carrie) of Windsor; sister, Jeanette Steward (Chuck) of Williamston; brother, Franklin Pierce of Windsor; and grandchildren, Alysia Melendez, Kayla Kortz, Kendra Lee, Nalanii Melendez, Kylie Lee, William Lee and Elena Lee; great grandchild, Brooklyn Jackson-Lee.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, June 6, 2025 at the church and other times from the home.
