Ruth Faith Lawrence Robertson, age 89, a resident of Moyock Landing Drive, Moyock, NC passed away early Wednesday morning, August 20, 2025. Ruth was born January 17, 1936, in Bertie County to Doris Hazel Pierce and David Brinkley Lawrence.

Ruth was married to Millard Robertson until his death, and was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Robert Glenn Midgett. Ruth attended the Assembly of God Church and  worked for Bertie County Peanuts for many years. She loved spending time with her grandkids.

Ruth was survived by her three sons: Edward E. Midgett (Emily) of Hertford NC, Eric D. Midgett of Hertford, NC, and Kenneth W. Midgett  of Bogart, GA; one daughter, Sherry Newton of Greenville; one brother, Gaston Lawrence of Elizabeth City; one sister, Ethel Headman of Elizabeth City; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston with pastor Kyle Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens. Moses Riddick, Nick Bateman, Preston Frasier, Rodney Lawrence, Martin Bateman and Ryan McDaniel will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the same location.
