Ms. Ruby Bunch Wynne age 89, a resident of Prison Camp Road, Williamston died peacefully Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her residence with her daughter, Joni Smith by her side.

Ruby was born May 22, 1931 in Martin County to the late George Edward Wynne and Eliza Beach Wynne. She worked as a nursing aid with the Martin County Home for a number of years, and as a nursing/caretaker. Ruby was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Williamston where she had been a past choir member. She was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Elton Barnhill; brothers, George Edward Bunch, Jr. and James Henry Bunch; sisters, Nina Mae Webb, Nellie Faye Gardner and Leatha Avery.

Survivors include her daughter, Joni Barnhill Smith of Williamston; grandchildren, Ryan Smith (Regina) and Brandy Smith; great grandchildren, Harley, Jordyn, Laura and Max Smith.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 9, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Kurt Honican officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
