It is with heavy hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of Ms. Ruby Jean Haddock, of Williamston, NC who passed away at Greenville Health and Rehab on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Ms. Ruby was born on February 28, 1937 in Snowhill, NC to Ben William Nethercutt and Ruby Taylor Nethercutt. After her education she became a wife, mother and homemaker and was a faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church and attended until her health no longer allowed. She also had a great love for singing, dancing, reading, watching westerns, and most of all spending time with her family.

Ms. Ruby was preceded in death in by her parents; her Husband, Van Tucker; three sons: Van Tucker "Little Tuck" Jr., Donald Williams, David Haddock; one daughter, Ann Murdock; one brother, William Nethercutt; two sisters: Nancy Kittrell, and Virginia Scarce; and one grandchild, Kaytlyn Noel Haddock. She is survived by her son, Christopher Haddock (Crystal) of Williamston; one sister, Jane Riddle of Williamston; also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Free Will Baptist Church, on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Roger Leggett officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
