Charlotte, NC:  Rosalyn (Rose) Mizelle Walker, age 93, died Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Summit Place of Southpark at Charlotte.  Funeral service will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston NC at 2:00PM on Saturday Nov 3. The family will receive friends at the Walker Funeral Home in Williamston on Nov 3 from 1:00PM-2:00PM.  Rev. David Jones and Rev. Elbert Lilley will officiate.

Rose was born May 11, 1925 in Martin County to the late Columbus (Lummie) Washington and Annie Laura Holliday Mizelle.  She was also preceded in death by husband of 66 years, John William Walker, sisters Bonnie Mizelle Gardner, Laura Thomas Mizelle, Elsie Mizelle Norman, Pearl Mizelle Swain, Louise Mizelle Stevenson, Marjorie Mizelle Styons, Annie Holliday Mizelle, and brothers David Harper Mizelle and Louis Henderson Mizelle.

Rose retired from teaching school after 30 years. She was a member of the Benson United Methodist Church in Benson, NC where she resided for 44 years. Survivors include Daughters, Cheryl C. Walker, of Charlotte and Cynthia W. Roberts and husband, Perry, of Houston, TX.
