Robert Burch Taylor, 80, of 340 NC 45 North, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Bertie County August 15, 1941, to the late Meredith H. Taylor, Sr. and Annie Mae Phelps Taylor and was predeceased by his sister, Ann Taylor Brooks. Robert was a member and Deacon of Capehart's Baptist Church. He retired from Weyerhaeuser as the maintenance supervisor with 33 years of service.  He was a former member of the Windsor Jaycees, the Windsor Lions Club and the Bertie County Rescue Squad. Robert was a co-founder of the Merry Hill - Midway Volunteer Fire Department. He served his country in the National Guard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Capehart's Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Hare will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Dunlow Taylor of the home; brother, M. H. Taylor, Jr.; sons, Robert Glen Taylor (Dana Harris) of Asheville and Kevin Burch Taylor (Jennifer) of Southern Pines; brother-in-law, Dennis Brooks; grandchildren, Hamilton Burch, Hannah Barrett, Rhylin Wyatt and Liza Harper Taylor.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 23 ^rd from 10-11 AM at Capehart's Baptist Church and from the home at other times.
