Robert "Bob" Lindsey Mizelle, Sr., age 77, a resident of US 13 North. Windsor died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Vidant Pitt Medical Center.  Robert was born December 3, 1940 to the late Melvin Arthur Mizelle and Alice Janet Evans. Robert married Martha Matthews Mizelle in 1960. He was a member of Askewville Baptist Church and was a caring, loving person who would give to others and take care of others before himself.  Bob served as a Sunday school teacher and Deacon.  He was very active in the NC Baptist Men's and was a volunteer Missionary at home and in foreign fields for over 10 years. He was a member of the Disaster Relief Found and a lifelong Gideon's.

Survivors in addition to his Wife Martha Mizelle include: one son, Robert L. Mizelle Jr. (Lisa) of Windsor, two daughters: Judy White (William) of Windsor, Carol Mizelle (Mike) of Colerain, Robert had five grandchildren: Leslie (Brandon), James (Kayla), Wesley (Tiffany), Blake (Melissa) and Trevor, and six great grandchildren: Madison, Landen, Noah, Hudson, Parker and Harper. One sister Janet Bunch of Windsor, four brothers: Horace R. Mizelle of Colerain, Merritt L. Mizelle of Chesapeake, VA, Melvin S. Mizelle and Seth E. Mizelle of Virginia Beach, VA.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother David Mizelle.

A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 10, 2018 at Askewville Baptist Church, Askewville, NC. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor, NC.

Family will receive friends Thursday, August 9 ^th from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
