Robert Thomas Lawrence, 94, a resident of Brian Center, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023.  He was born in Bertie County on August 30, 1928, to the late Richard and Sallie Cowan Lawrence and was predeceased by a sister, Ellen Elizabeth Mizell and a brother, Joe Henry Lawrence.  Robert was a member of Greens Cross Baptist Church.  In his early life, he worked for many farmers as a part time farm hand.  You could see Robert all over the county riding his moped.  He was a kind and happy soul.

A chapel service will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor.  Dr. Rev. Jeffery Russell will officiate and the burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
