Robert Daniel Hoggard, son of the late Robert H. Hoggard and Gladys P. Hoggard, was born February 3, 1947, in Windsor, N.C., and went home to be with his Lord on May 7, 2024.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Revonne White Hoggard of Askewville, and his son, Bobby D. Hoggard of Ahoskie, as well as his sister Judy H. Goodwin (Ray), two sisters-in-law, Julie Mizelle and Vi White, and many nieces and nephews.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Robert served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1970. Before serving, he worked as a planer at Colburn Lumber Company. After retiring from service, he worked for many years as a logger for White Brothers Inc., and then as a farmer for the same company.

Robert was a devoted husband and loving father who enjoyed spending his spare time outdoors hunting and fishing. Like his father, he had a dry sense of humor and liked to playfully pick with the people he loved. He was a kind and generous man who was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all.

The family wishes to thank the Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice for their care and support.

The family will receive visitors at Walker's Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, at 7:00 p.m.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, at Askewville Baptist Church with interment to follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice.
