Robert "Bobby" Elmo Phelps, 71, of Ed's Grocery Road, died Thursday February 3, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was born in Bertie County, June 26, 1950, to the late Murray Elmo and Sarah Cowand Phelps. Bobby was a retired refrigeration technician having worked with Ann's House of Nuts, Hackney Enterprises and Perdue Inc.

Funeral services will be held Sunday February 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Kurt Honican will officiate. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his son, Mark Phelps, and his wife, Jennifer, of Williamston; grandsons, Connor Phelps of Williamston, Brinton McAdoo of Beltsville, MD; sisters, Hazel Davis and Ann Phelps both of Williamston and Ellen Davenport of Windsor and spouse Del Rita Phelps.

The family will receive friends from his home at 3900 Ed's Grocery Road, Saturday, February 5 ^th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Martin County Human Society, 1720 Hwy 17, Williamston, NC 27892.
