Dateline: Robersonville, NC

Robert Lee Edwards, 83, of NC 903, died Saturday May 30, 2020 at his home. He was born in Bethel, NC to the late Frank and Mary Williamson Edwards and was predeceased by his wife, Brenda Lee Matthews and a son, William Robert Edwards in 1989. Robert was a member of Hassell Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Eagle Snacks. He loved fishing, gardening and model cars.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Minton will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak City Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Betty Bass of Gold Point, Connie Edwards of Everetts, Vickie Curtis and husband Kevin of Jamesville, Brenda Lilley and husband Keith of Farm Life; son, Brian K. Edwards and wife Ginger of Farm Life; sister, Doris Edwards of Greenville; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 1, 2020 from 6-8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home at other times.
