Richard "Dickie" Lee Willoughby, 76 of N. Haughton St., died Saturday, August 12, 2023, at ECU Bertie Hospital.

Dickie was born on July 14, 1947, in Martin County to the late Lewis Bailey and Lovona Sheffler Willoughby.  He was an auto body mechanic and tow truck driver with Dixie Motor Company for 42 years. Dickie attended the Williamston First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed cutting grass and tinkering on things. He loved to work.

Survivors include his wife; Linda Dunlow Willoughby of the home; son, Rick Willoughby (Kristi) of Williamston; daughter, Dawn Manzie (Ralph) of Jamesville; brother, Gary Willoughby (Angela) of Washington; grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden and Harper Willoughby; step grandchildren,  Jessica, Ethan, Maddie and Emma Jones and Justin Manzie.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roger Leggett officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, and other times from the home.
