Mr. Richard 'Ricky' Roberson, 71, of W.T. Ross Road, Williamston, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning at his home with his family by his side.

Ricky was born in Williamston on January 8, 1953 to the late John Earl and Lucille Shaw Roberson. He was a former member of West End Baptist Church and then First Christian Church where he is a member today. Before retirement, he was the owner of Shaw's Barbecue House in Williamston.  He graduated from NC State University and was a member of Phi Tau Fraternity. He enjoyed the beach, skiing, golf, sports cars, music (playing drums) family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Linda Carlisle Roberson of the home; sons, Alec C. Roberson (Christin) of Savannah, GA. Kelby L. Roberson of Wilmington; and sister Arnette Daniels (Jimmy) of Williamston; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home of Williamston, and other times at the home.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church of Williamston. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
