Rachel Mobley Coltrain, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 14, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday May 11, 2024, at the Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Heath Faircloth and Pastor Billy Crabtree officiating. A burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Coltrain was born in Jamesville, NC on March 17, 1935 to the late Eva Beach Mobley and James Robert Mobley of Jamesville and attended Jamesville High School. She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. William Gray in Williamston. Mrs. Coltrain worked for the Pitt County School System as a Teacher's Assistant for twenty years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of sixty-six years, Eldon Coltrain and her sister, Louise Mobley. Survivors include their daughter, Chrisa Coltrain Mitchell (and her husband, David) of Virginia Beach, VA, their son, Keith Eldon Coltrain (and his wife, Jennifer) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren: Megan Joan Coltrain, Richard Paul Mitchell (and his wife, Rachael) and William Fredrick Mitchell, great-granddaughter Ruth.
