Phillip Ray Baker, 68, of Ballard Road, died Thursday January 16, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.  He was born in Martin County March 12, 1951 to the late Jimmie and Mamie Marie Hollis Baker and was predeceased by a sister, Lisa Ripley. Phillip was retired from West Point Pepperell and later with Penco.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

A family and friends gathering will be held Saturday January 18, 2020 from 6- 7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home.  Friends may visit the family at other times from the home of Cynthia Roberson, 7934 Prison Camp Road, Williamston.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Baker of the home; daughters, Shirley Marie Baker of Williamston and Becky Hardison and husband William of Bear Grass; son Curtis Ray Baker and wife Tiffany of Williamston; sister, Cynthia Roberson of Robersonville; brothers, Milton and Jimmie Baker of Williamston, Richard Baker of Plymouth; grandchildren, Chris, Kristen, Brayden, Marissa, Jeffery, Amanda, Trapper, Hunter and Sky; great grandchildren, Addison and Kinsley.
