Penny Mobley
Bell
Jan 16, 1964 — Jun 27, 2026
Dateline: Williamston, NC
Penny Mobley Bell peacefully went to be with Jesus Saturday morning, June 27, 2026. Penny bravely fought cancer for slightly over a year. Penny was born to Marie O'Neal Mobley & Buddy Mobley on January 16, 1964. She leaves behind 4 siblings including Carolyn Bembridge (David), Joyce Holliday (Jim), Henry Barber (Jo), all of Williamston and Teresa Little (Ray) of Hertford.
Penny leaves behind a loving husband and constant caregiver, Rex, along with 2 children. Penny is survived by her son, Clay Roberson (Blair) of Williamston and a daughter, Logan Bell (Zack) of Elizabeth City; sister-in-law, Terry Bell Oliver (Mark); brother-in-law, David Bell; mother- in-law, Faye Bell all of Jamesville. Penny adored her children and grandchildren. Even on her worst days, just seeing them would make her light up. They brought joy to her life like no other. Her grandchildren are Weston & Ellie Martin, River & Livy Roberson of Williamston and Nova Blaicher of Elizabeth City. She also leaves behind a slew of nephews, nieces, and extended family that she always doted on. Including her HTM family where she worked as a secretary up until her death.
Penny enjoyed putting together puzzles along with arranging flowers. She took much pride in keeping her yard free of any pine straw or pinecones and when well, could often be found in her yard enjoying the outside. Penny was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone.
Penny will be missed beyond measure, loved endlessly, and never forgotten. We know we will see Penny again one glorious day. Until then, "it will all be okay." We know she loved us all and she meant it!
A Celebration of Penny's Life will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Reddicks Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Daniel Voris and Pastor Jody O'Neal officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
