Peggy Joyce Rogerson Whitfield, 88 of NC Hwy 903, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Whitfield was born on January 27, 1932 in Martin County to the late Grover and Maude Lee Holiday Rogerson. She was a retired retail clerk with Rose's and Walmart. Peggy was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ, she loved cooking, working at Walmart and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her husband Fate Whitfield; son, Charles Whitfield and sister, Janice Modlin.

Survivors include her son, James Whitfield of Oak City; brothers, Charles Rogerson of Williamston and Linwood Rogerson of California; grandchildren, seven; great grandchildren, sixteen and numerous great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Rev. Warren Grubbs officiating.
