Patricia "Pat" Hoggard Jernigan, 74, of Elm Grove Road, passed away at her home on Saturday morning, May 13, 2023. She was born in Bertie County, February 11, 1949, to the late Freeman and Sarah Hoggard and predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Jernigan; sister, Frances Cobb; brothers, Freeman "Red" Hoggard, Vernon Hoggard, Merrill "Mickey" Hoggard and Malvin Hoggard. Pat was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church and retired as a bookkeeper/Secretary with Gary's Electrical Service. Pat was a loving mother and grandmother.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. Rev. Preston Jernigan will officiate.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Tony Garland Jernigan of the home; daughters, Stacy Lassiter and husband Brian of Aulander, Sandy Jernigan of Windsor; sister, Gail Smith of Windsor; granddaughters, Sarah Eure of Ahoskie, Madison Lassiter of Aulander; grandson, Broden Lassiter of Aulander; great granddaughter, Leighton Eure of Ahoskie and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts may be made to Elm Grove Baptist Church, 638 Elm Grove Road, Colerain, NC 27924. The family will receive friends from the home and following the graveside service.
