Norman Lee Ferebee, 88, of Cale Street, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home. He was born in Currituck County to the late Philip M. and Margaret Williams Ferebee and was predeceased by his brother, Glenn M. Ferebee. Norman moved to Windsor with his family when he was 6 years old. He was a member ( joined at age 12) of Cashie Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon. Norman retired from the veneer business at age 57 then began work with Bertie Ambulance Service, (18 years of service) retiring at age 83. He also served as a volunteer Rescue worker for 22 years. Norman was a former Town Commissioner, former Jaycees member and former Rotary Club member.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Cashie Baptist Church. Dr. Carroll Tarkington and Rev. Todd Cienske will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 4 ^th from 1:00 PM until service time in the fellowship hall and from their home at other times.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Harden Ferebee (married 9/24/1949) of the home; sons, Jeff Ferebee and wife Barbara of Windsor, Craig Ferebee and wife Daphne of Merry Hill; sister, Dorothy F. Nicholson of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Eric (Wendy) Brent Ferebee, Brad Ferebee (Katie), Laurie F. Carlton (Brandon); great grandchildren, Conner, Chloe, Clair, Halee, Andrew, Olivia, Brody and Adalyn.
