Nellie Marie Williams, 74 of US Hwy 64 Alternate, died Friday, January 20, 2023, at her home.

Mrs. Williams was born on October 16, 1948 in Douglas Co., Ga., to the late William Robert Jones, II and Nell Marie Branton Jones. She was a homemaker and had worked at Jefferson Mills/Mayo's Knitting Mill. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her cat, Milkyway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eli Williams; brother, William Robert Jones, III and sister Linda Ann Jones.

Survivors include her sons, Benjamin William Bell, Sr. (Kim) of Williamston and Mitchell Dean Wooten (Caresha) of Bethel; daughter, Linda Bell Alligood (Paris) of Washington; grandchildren, six; great grandchildren, three; many loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roger Leggett officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
