Nellie Todd Rogerson, 78 of Smith Lane, died Friday, February 21, 2020 at her home.
Mrs. Rogerson was born on March 12, 1941 in Bertie County, to the late Moses and Elnora Davis Todd. She was a waitress for 40 years, having worked at the Shamrock Restaurant. She loved cooking and fishing. On September 7, 1985 she married Dennis Rhodes Rogerson who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers Johnny and Moses Todd, Jr. and sisters, Ella Mae Williams, Erma Edmondson, Frances Williams, Magaline Phelps and Mary Jane White.
Survivors include; daughter, Kimberly Gurganus of Williamston; brother, Bobby Todd of Maryland; grandchildren, Cody Austin Gurganus, Ben Bell and Cassie Bell; great grandchildren, Landon Gurganus, Acasia Gurganus, Razalyne Bell, E.J. Garcia, Sophia Garcia and Skyler Temple; and her son-inlaw Benjamin Bell Sr.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roger Leggett officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr, Greenville, NC 27834 or Community Home care and Hospice, 200 Green St #203, Williamston, NC 27892 or Kindred Hospice, 1712 W Howard Ave, Tarboro, NC 27886.
