Ms. Nancy Revels Lilley, a long time resident of Williamston, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2024 at E.C.U. Health in Greenville.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Macedonia Christian Church, with Pastor Dolan Baker officiating and Pastor Greg Sexton assisting. Laurence Lilley, William Peele, Bob Peele, Bart Revels, Rob Revels, Perry Davis, Stan Roberson, and William Manning will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. A private interment in Woodlawn Cemetery will be held at a later date.
A gathering of family and friends will also be held on Monday, May 27, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family Life Center of Macedonia Christian Church.
Ms. Nancy was born in Williamston, NC on February 20, 1937 to Selma Mobley Revels and Saunders Revels, who have both preceded her in death. She attended Martin County Schools and was a graduate of Williamston High School. Ms. Nancy attended Kings Business College and later married John Walden Lilley who has also preceded her in death. Ms. Nancy worked for 20 years as a bookkeeper for Williamston High School and was an active member of Macedonia Christian Church who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one grandson, Baby Hyman, and one brother-in-law, Ron Ferguson.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nancy L. Hyman (Randy) of Greenville, and Harriet L. Piner (Bubba) also of Greenville; one son, W. Eason Lilley (Martha) of Williamston; eight grandchildren: John David Lilley, Mallory Piner Painter (Caleb), Trevor Piner, Hayley Piner Wright (Kyle), Rex Piner (Ashley), Lily Hyman Bland (Joe), Matt Hyman (Kylie), Emily Hyman Lauridsen (Noah), Megan Hyman, nine great-grandchildren: Adelyn Bland, Brayden & Kinley Piner, Kassi, Nain, & Kamryn Wright, Jackson & Abby Piner, Chloe Lewis, two sisters: Gail R. Ferguson of Lexington, SC and Mavis R. Benson (John) of Del Ray Beach, FL; and one brother, Billy S. Revels (Judy) of Williamston.
