Mildred Pierce White, 106, died Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Bertie County, September 30, 1916 to the late John William and Clara Taylor Pierce and was preceded in death by her late husband, Hubert Elmer White; sisters, Fannie Sue Baker and Fentress Mitchell; brothers, Herbert, Aubrey and Alonzo "Boney" Pierce.  Ms. Mildred enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, and most of all she loved to witness her love for her all-mighty Savior.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Perrytown Assembly of God Church. Rev. David Baker and Rev. Chuck Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor where she will be buried next to her husband.

Survivors include her son, Danville "Danny" White (Rita) of Colerain; grandchildren, Lisa Hughes, Wanda Thomason, Beth Norris, and David White; great grandchildren, Leanna Hughes, Alexis Thomason, John W. Thomason III, KaileyAnn Norris, and Taylor Norris.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Perrytown Assembly of God Church from 2:00 PM  to 3:00 PM.
