Mildred Farmer Johnson, age 81 passed away on December 27, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Martin County to the late William Harvey and Martha Roberta Thompson Farmer on October 3, 1940. Mildred has lived in Windsor for 66 years where she worked hard on the family farm. She was a loving mother and grandmother. When Mildred was not talking on the phone, or secret shopping, you could find her mowing the grass, working in her garden, or canning the fruits and vegetables she grew. Mildred was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Thurman Raleigh Johnson and twelve brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Walker Funeral Home - Chapel in Windsor with Jay Fulford officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Joy Johnson of Windsor; son, Roy Johnson (Laverne) of Windsor; grandsons, R.T. Johnson (Ali) and Kevin Johnson (Brittany); great grandchildren, Noah Johnson, Emma Johnson, Hank Johnson, Dilly Wiechel, Barron Wiechel, and Mady Wiechel.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Walker Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and from the home at other times.
