Melissa Whitaker Muir 52, of 300 E. Main Street died Sunday November 18, 2018 at her home.  She was born in Martin County July 4, 1966 to the late Linda Rawls Whitaker and Walter Whitaker.  Melissa was a child care giver and member of Gold Point Church of Christ.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Gold Point Church of Christ.  Rev. Chris Minton will officiate.

Survivors include her son, Jonathan Dail and wife Stacey; daughter, Taylor Woody and husband Joshua all of Robersonville; father, Walter Whitaker and his wife, Joanne; brothers, Martin and Jamie Phelps all of Windsor; grandchildren, Liam and Ainsley.

The family will receive friends following the service at Gold Point Church of Christ.
