Mary "Nadine" Williams Watson, 69, of Jamesville, passed away peacefully at
her home in the early morning hours on Sunday, May 28, 2023.Nadine was born on December 9, 1953 in Washington County, North Carolina to the late Dempsey and Annie Mae Williams. She was a graduate of Jamesville High School and worked for many years in the accounts payable department at Weyerhaeuser.

While Nadine had no children of her own, she was a dedicated and loving aunt
to her six nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was a
master in the kitchen and regularly blessed her family and friends with her
culinary talents, particularly at special occasions. Nadine enjoyed nature,
spending as much time as possible outside. She spent immeasurable hours of
her life farming with the family, tending the garden, working in flowers,
keeping the yard, and in later years – simply sitting outside to enjoy the
beauty and sounds of nature. Nadine loved the Lord with all her heart. She
read the Bible and drew much strength from God's words throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Roy
Gene Watson. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Rosie Williams (deceased
brother, Gary), and sisters, Jo Ann Getchell (Harris) and Pam Williams
(Henry). Nadine's closest friend and companion over the last several years,
was her beloved Chihuahua, Reece.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 1 st at Cedar
Branch Baptist Church in Jamesville with Reverend Royce Williams
officiating, followed by a burial service at the Jamesville Community
Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service Thursday from 10:00 to
11:00 AM at the church. The family will receive friend at other times at 1731
Wendell Modlin Road.

Baptist Church at 2407 NC-171, Jamesville, NC 27846.
