Mary Ida White Brown, 90, of US 17 North, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at her home. She was born in Bertie County, December 1, 1929 to the late William Gaston and Mary Cobb White and was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Edger "LE' Brown; a daughter, Faye B. Simmons and her husband, Ben; a grandson, Terry W. Pike, Jr; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Mary was a member of Capehart's Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved to paint and spend time with her family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11 AM at Capehart's Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Hare will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary B. Pike and husband Terry W. Pike, Sr. of Merry Hill; 7 grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the committal service. Memorial gifts may be made to the Merry Hill-Midway Fire Department, 209 NC 45 North, Merry Hill, NC 27957.
