Mary Frances Todd Phelps, age 87, a resident of South King Street Windsor, died peacefully Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2023 at Windsor Assembly of God, with Pastor Chuck Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at the church, and other times at the home.

Ms. Phelps was born on December 19, 1935 in Bertie County to the late Francis Todd and Mary Thomas Todd. She attended Bertie County Schools and on January 1, 1960 she married the love of her life Percy Francis Phelps who preceded her in death in 2009. She was a retired nurse's aide, who enjoyed reading, crocheting, embroidery, and word search games. Ms. Phelps was also an active member of Windsor Assembly of God.

Survivors include, her two daughters, Patricia Gammon (David) of Williamston, and Peggy Phelps of Windsor; her son, Everett Phelps of the home, two brothers, Jack Todd of Williamston, Richard Todd of Fort Recovery, OH; grandchildren, Evelyn Jenkins (Nick), James Phelps and Blaze Gammon, one great grandchild, Lucy Jenkins. Other survivors include; one step-sister, Jane Jamerson of Indiana; and her adopted daughter, Sylvia Parker of Garden City, CA.
