Martin Carranza, 35 of Johnson Dr., died Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Martin was born in Mexico on November 3, 1987, to Maria Rincon Carranza and the late Otilio Carranza. He was a self-employed Tower contractor.  Martin loved kids and helping others. He loved to dance and loved hugging and kissing people. Martin enjoyed playing video games, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include his mother, Maria Rincon Carranza of Williamston; brothers, Candelario Carranza, Serafin Carranza and Gabriel Carranza; sisters, Maria Carranza, Obdulia Villegas, and Lucia Carranza; nieces and nephews, Shayli Garcia-Carranza, Alex Garcia, Jr., Marissa Garcia, Adriel Perez, Emeli Perez, Nadia Garza, Alexander Garza, Addan Garza, Fabian Garza, Francisco J. Garza, Jr., Valerie Carranza, Gabriel Carranza, Marbella Carranza, Yerlin Villegas, Marlen Villegas, Fiorela Villegas, George Villegas, Jr., Alaisha Villegas, Evalynn Carranza, Serafin Carranza, Jr. Olivia Carranza, Jerry Carranza, Jesus Carranza, Gissel Carranza, Candelario Carranza, Jr., Alonso Carranza, Julitte Carranza; Abraham Meza Perez, who was like a son to Martin. He loved him dearly and was always there for him. Best friends just like father and son.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Vijaya officiating. Burial will follow in the Monarcas Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
