Martha Gillam Price, 81, of Windsor, NC, died Monday, October 16, 2023, at Three Rivers Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Windsor on April 6, 1942 to the late Robert Turner Gillam, Sr., and Willie Lee Gillam. She is predeceased by her husband, George Herman Price, Sr. and brother, Robert "Bob" Turner Gillam, Jr.

Martha graduated from Windsor High School. She is a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church and served many years as a Sunday School teacher.

Martha worked several jobs in her lifetime which included North Carolina Probation Parole for 6 years, Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Beaufort County Storage Warehouse where she was Vice President/Treasurer, and Gillam Price farms where she was the bookkeeper. She also volunteered with hospice for 10 years and was Chairman of the Board at Winston Park Rest Home.

Martha is survived by her daughter; Lee Price Lawrence and her husband Mac, and their three children, Scott (Shelley), Jessica (Brian) and Jodie (Zack); her son, George Herman Price, Jr., and his wife Pam, and their two children, Courtney (Steven) and Rob (Fiancée Amanda) and her son, Robert Lewis Price and his two children, Hatcher and Hannah. She also had six great grandchildren, Reagan, Hadley, Ayden, Emerson, Hudson, and Wilson.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Walker Funeral Home of Windsor on Thursday October 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  The family will receive friends following the service.
