Marie Miller Hoggard, 93, of Bull Hill Road, died Sunday July 4, 2021, at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.  She was born in Bertie County May 28, 1928, to the late Norman and Hattie Todd Miller and was predeceased by her husband, Freeman Hoggard, Jr. and several brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, Danny Waff. Marie was a member of Ross Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Hoggard and wife, Beverly and Steve Hoggard and wife, Donna, all of Windsor; daughter, Joan Waff of Chester, VA: grandchildren, Kevin Hoggard (Shannon), Shelley Rawls (Kelvin), Eric Waff (Denise), Susie Nesmith (Michael), Kenny Waff (Katelyn), Nick Hoggard (Brandice); great grandchildren, Jenna Rawls, Jackson Rawls, Trenton Martinson (Amaris), Xander Nesmith, Bryson Nesmith, Hunter Waff, Easton Waff, Waylon Waff and Gavin Hoggard.

At the family's request, a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Samantha Ross Hoggard Scholarship Fund, 951 Bull Hill Road, Windsor, NC 27983.
