Mattie Delores Dunlow, 82 of S. King Street, died Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her home.  Delores was born on July 8th, 1941, in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert Ballantine and Mary Elizabeth Schweitzer.  She loved to play golf and was a member of the Cashie Country Club's Ladies Auxiliary. Delores also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with her granddaughter, Michelle and great granddaughter, Olivia who she always called the joys of her life. She married the love of her life in 1966 and was a member of Cashie Baptist Church. Delores was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Albert; brother, Edward Ballantine; and grandson, Braxton (Bubbie) Dunlow.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Walker Funeral Home-Chapel in Windsor, NC. Rev. Stafford Beasley will officiate.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Dunlow of the home; daughters, Gina White (Bill) of Windsor and Debbie McDonald (Martin) of Holden Beach; sons, Robert Dunlow, Jr. of Florida, and Daryl Dunlow of Windsor; sister, Janice Stokes of Louisiana; brother, Frank McHorney (Josie) of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Michelle, Tiffany, Michael, Tammy and Brandon; special great grandchild, Olivia and 7 other great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, December 9th at Walker Funeral Home and other times from the home.  In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to: Cashie Country Club, 132 Country Club Road, Windsor, NC  27983 in memory of Delores Dunlow.
