Mr. Luther Gene Peele, 82 of Beargrass Road Williamston, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday February 18, 2025.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Luther will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday February 26, 2025 at Martin Memorial Gardens with pastor Stan Matthews officiating.

Luther was born August 26, 1942, to the late James Arthur Peele and Martha Jane Taylor Peele in Williamston. Luther later married the love of his life Gloria Jean Edmondson Peele on June 24,1960 and celebrated sixty years. Luther worked at Robersonville Products for many years after his retirement and he later worked at Walmart. Luther was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Williamston.

Luther is survived by his loving wife Gloria Jean Edmondson Peele, a daughter Cindy Peele Rogerson and husband Norman of Williamston, and one son Michael Keith Peele and wife Nikki of Stokes, and five grandchildren; Lindy Harrell and husband Sammy, Ryan Peele, Kelsey Peele, Madison Peele, Savanna Peele and four great grandchildren; Levi, Jayden, Jones Brooklyn and Bryce, one Brother Donnie Peele of Virginia and one sister Judy Corey of Washington. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers all memorial donations be directed to: First Free Will Baptist Church of  Williamston.
