Obituary

Dateline: Williamston, NC

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Lois “Aileen” Wood Price, age 74, a long-time resident of John Mobley Road, passed away early Thursday morning September 3, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Lois “Aileen” Wood Price was born on November 29, 1951, to Lois Aileen Ray Wood and Harvey Finely Wood in High Point, N.C. Aileen was a high school graduate of Greensboro High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Aileen  married the love of her life Mr. William Earl Price on January 8, 1972. The two first met in September of 1971, and Aileen would often jokingly say that one of the reasons she decided to marry William was because she liked his car- a 1967 Camero. Their marriage was blessed with many years of love, laughter, family, and memories.

Aileen worked for American Greetings Card company, for many years where she enjoyed setting up the card displays and later worked as a shift supervisor for the CVS company, where she took pride in everything, she did. L Aileen has many interests and hobbies that brought her joy. She was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved to travel and especially going on different cruises, including a memorable Alaskan cruise. She loved watching westerns, reading, cooking, crocheting and collecting Barbies. Aileen also had a great love for shopping and could never resist beautiful jewelry, clothes and shoes.

Those who knew Aileen will remember her for loving, understanding, and gracious nature, as well as her wonderful humor. She had a way of making people laugh with her favorite sayings, including, “Oh my Cow!” and, whenever someone was thinking about buying something, “You don’t need it” “Where are you gonna put it?” These words, like so many of her little ways, will be remembered fondly by those who loved her.

Aileen adored her family and her beloved pet, Ollie. Her greatest joy was spending time with the people she loved and watching her family grow. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, kindness and countless cherished memories. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who have the privilege of knowing her.

Aileen is predeceased by her parents, and her sister Linda Greene. She is survived by her husband William Earl Price, two sons: William Earl Price II “Billy” of San Antinio, Texas, Jesse Davis Price (Athena) Williamton, two grandsons: Jacob Price, Chris Boggs; three brothers: Larry Wood of NJ, Charles Wood of Statesville, Bob Wood of Fl., and her sister Julie Parker of Washington.
