Linda Barber Brett, 75, of S. King Street, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Vidant Bertie Hospital.  She was born in Martin County January 28, 1945 to the late George and Daisy Jackson Barber and predeceased by her husband, Norman W. Brett; sister, Sarah Price and brother, Irvin Barber.  Linda was an active member of Windsor Assembly of God where she sang in the choir.  She was a member and former president of the Windsor Lion's Club.  Linda retired as a waitress and cook at the Heritage House Restaurant.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Windsor Assembly Campground on Cooper Hill Road.  Burial will follow in the Thomas Family Cemetery on old US 17 North.

She is survived by her son, Norman Stacey Brett of Windsor; granddaughters, Madalyn and Margaret Brett; brother, Rev. Johnnie Barber; sisters, Mary Ann Whitaker, Della Leggett, Martha Williams and Mattie Whitaker all of Jamesville.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14 ^th from 6-7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home at other times.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Windsor Assembly of God, 1505 S. King Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
